The F-1 series offers a revolutionary new concept for underwater lighting for Super Yachts.
Achieving upto 25 degree hull angling within the fixture itself, it eliminates the need for massively long cofferdams, which improves Lamina flow and therefore fuel economy and ultimately speed whilst saving huge space inboard.
Being an LED powered unit (i.e. low maintenance) results in new thinking on yacht design. Old problems of access to 'traditional' underwater lights to change bulbs/service are now no longer as big a problem.
The F-1 Series is the most technically advanced underwater light every created. The unique 3 part delivery system offered by OceanLED ensures the very latest LED technology is utilized when the yacht is ready for launch.
Stage 1 - The Cofferdam assembly is delivered for the hot work (welding) to be completed.
Stage 2 - The electronics and cabling are supplied when needed.
Stage 3 - Light engine is delivered at the last stage to ensure the very latest LED technology is used.
The F-1 is currently being fitted to the latest new builds at the Feadship, Koninklijke De Vries Aalsmeer and Koninklijke De Vries Makkum facilities.

The OceanLED Puck Light fixture is designed to be used in Steel, Aluminium or Fibreglass hulls.
Cofferdams - We recommend tube for the Cofferdam walls to be sourced by the shipyard during installation to save on freight costs. OceanLED then supplies a Welding Back Plate which affixes to the tube creating the final Cofferdam for the light to be mounted.
Alternatively full cofferdams can be supplied.
For fibreglass hulls the follows along the same principal design where a molded pocket in the Fiberglass hull allows water to flow in and around the LED light enabling sufficient cooling.
If a General Arrangement (GA) can be supplied, our design department can assist in cofferdam design for maximum cost efficiency.
Full Cofferdams are available from us on request.
The Puck Light is available in the 3010 series only with the Standard Super White LEDs or the New Super Blue LEDs, in both the 50 and 140 degree lens options, offering solutions for every vessel up to the largest Superyacht.
With the following information we can give you a quotation for your project.
1. Total Number of lights required
2. Lens Options for each fixture
3. Hull Material - Steel / Aluminium
4. Approx. distance from light to electronic driver equipment
5. Supply voltage
Approved by Lloyds register, RINA, ABS, NMMA Ignition Protection.
We can assist in the design placement of the lights to achieve the best effect, be it a soft halo around the hull or a jet effect out from the transom and hull sides. Contact us for further information. |
