All-New Pro Series HD - Twice as Bright as Previous Models!

For 2012, the original Pro Series just got a whole lot better, re-named Pro Series HD, the range has expanded, provides increased efficiency, offers an amazing new midnight blue color and color change models, and are much, much brighter!

Light output of the new Pro Series HD models is up to 130% brighter than the originals due to the very latest LED chips from world-renowned CREE, as well as a custom linear optical lens designed by OceanLED's engineering team that has resulted in an almost 90% optical effciency. The new linear lens channels the light from the fixture in a horizontal pettern keeping the light just under the surface of the water to maximize the effect. The new 2010 HD models will compete with any 150w HID metal halide variants, and the new 3010 HD models have no comparison at over 7,000 fixture lumens.

Improved efficiency across the range comes from the completely new and improved driver circuitry that works at half the load of previous models, reducing onboard power consumption, heat, and stress related failures.

In addition to the improvements made within the range, two completely new models have been added.

  • The XFM, or Xchangeable Flush Mount, is exactly what it says, it's exchangeable. 2010 and 3010 HD XFM models offer customers the ability to exchange their light fixtures from inside the hull without hauling, for inspecting, replacing, or facilitating warranty if service is needed.
  • The second addition to the range, the 2010R, is the first direct replacement for the SV10 model of older style underwater lighting using 150w HID/metal halide bulbs. To install, simply remove the existing internal bulb assembly, fit the 2010R neatly in place, and connect to the existing power. No more bulbs to change, no more inconsistent color temperatures, no more hassles. This easy retro fit can be done in minutes with no need for alterations to the hull or the thru hull fixing.
"This new Pro Series HD range, with the new XFM and 2010R models, raises the bar so far above anything on the market that we're now going to see the fundamental shift from HID technology to LED for larger boats. Over the past seven years the Pro Series has ben the fearless leader of LED underwater lighting. Now, the new Pro Series HD outperforms anything on the market which is simply going to catapult the OceanLED brand and further product development well into the future." HD Series of Underwater Lights from OceanLED for the Pro Series Bring a New Wave of Color, Control and Blinding Power

OceanLED has been leading the way in underwater LED lighting for the marine industry since introducing their first product to the market in 2005.

2012 marks the most significant change in OceanLED's product portfolio to date; all underwater lighting models in the Pro Series range have been given a substantial upgrade, with both electronic and light output improvements.

The new HD, or High Definition, models are not only brighter by up to 130%, but they are actually more efficient, have greater flexibility in design and application, and now offer the industry's first underwater lights with dimming capabilities, a new panic mode strobe feature, and an unlimited color change option called Colours.

Dimming, or a subtle lowering of brightness, is one feature that has been requested by more and more owners who wish to tone down their underwater lights when entering harbors.

Panic mode is a completely new feature, integrated into the yachts onboard security systems, to deter or disorient unwanted intruders, or as a panic beacon to attract attention. The lights instantly switch from their solid static color to a rapid strobe of up to 3 flashes per second, enough to get anyone's attention or dissuade trespassers.

Color change, or Colours, is no longer just a gimmick limited to the gadget store; it now serves as a practical function of an underwater lighting system. With the advent of radical new yacht designs, modern building techniques, and twenty-first century technology, the ability to tailor the color of a yachts underwater lights to either suit the environment or the whim of a passenger is now possible. Controlled via DMX-512 through the ships onboard systems, or through a dedicated hardwired system and then wirelessly operated via third party devices such as an iPad, Colours allows you to set the mood, enhance an onboard theme or event, pulse to music, or pre-program scenes to change with the time of day with up to 16 million different color options.

All new HD models, including Colours, will be on display at upcoming boat shows, or you can view them in the Products section of the website.

Amphibian T12 Model Ideal for Lighting the Trailered Boat

The Amphibian Trailer Boat Series of LED lighting is the ideal choice for the trailered boat. Equally as bright as the original Amphibian but tailored for the smaller boat market. A great value product!

The T12 is the largest model within the Trailer Boat range, using just 12 watts of power, and suitable for boats up to 35ft or 10 meters in length. Ultra low power draw, no start-up current, and requires just a 3/8" hole in the hull.

The T12 model is the only one to offer 5 color options including new Dual colors, which allows boaters to switch color on the fly from blue to green or from blue to white. The new Dual color options are in addition to our standard single colors, which include ultra white, ocean blue and sea green.

The Amphibian T12 is exceptionally easy to install and may be used above or below the waterline such as on the transom, hull, engine brackets, t-top, under the gunnels, and even on the trailer for night launching.

The T12 is manufactured with the same sophistication of OceanLED's entire family of underwater and above water LED lighting products, and has features such as built-in Active Thermal Control - a continuous heat monitoring system, Grade A electrical-opto performance - to achieve the highest lumen-per-watt ratings, and our 3-star LED binning promise - ensuring the highest quality grade LEDs are used in every light.

"At a price point that rivals any competitor offering, this entry-level product from OceanLED is going to ignite the market." (Terry Crockett, OceanLED Sales Manager)

OceanLED® Introduces the All-New Pro Series HD Range of Underwater Lights

It’s been seven years since OceanLED first introduced their Pro Series underwater lights to the American boater. Pro Series are now recognized as single handedly changing the marine underwater lighting market into what it is today. Built fit-for-purpose - robust enough to resist vibration, electrical spikes, and humidity in the ever-demanding marine environment - OceanLED

changed the way people thought about marine lighting. For the very first time it was proven to boaters and boat builders alike that products onboard should not be expected to fail nor be replaced just because they’re installed on a boat… and with OceanLED lights you no longer needed those darn bulbs!!

For 2012, the original Pro Series just got a whole lot better, re-named Pro Series HD, the range is expanding, provides increased efficiency, color change options, and they are much, much brighter!!

Light output of the new Pro Series HD models is up to 130% brighter than the originals due to the very latest LED chips from world-renowned CREE, as well as a custom linear optical lens designed by OceanLED’s engineering team that has resulted in an almost 90% optical efficiency. The new linear lens channels the light from the fixture in a horizontal pattern keeping the light just under the surface of the water to maximize the effect.

Probably the most significant development to the well-known 2010 and 3010 Thru Hull and Flush Mount models is the new XFM or Xchangeable Flush Mount model, which is exactly what it says, exchangeable. The new 2010 and 3010 HD XFM models offer customers the ability to exchange their light fixtures from inside the hull without hauling for inspecting, replacing, or facilitating warranty if service is needed. Due to many poor quality lighting products on the market, or bad installations that have lead to poor customer experience, there has been a level of caution to accept a product that can’t be easily corrected when the boat is in the water. For those customers the XFM models provide this peace of mind.

“This new Pro Series HD range and the new XFM models raise the bar so far above anything on the market,” said Lee Savage, OceanLED Marketing Director, “ that we’re now going to see the fundamental shift from HID technology to LED for larger boats. Over the past seven years the Pro Series have been the fearless leader of LED underwater lighting… now the new Pro Series HD outperforms anything on the market which is simply going to catapult the OceanLED brand and further product development well into the future.

Look for the new models on display at the fall boat shows and at your local marine dealer… but wear your sunglasses… they’re bloody bright!

OceanLED Adds T12 Model To Its Popular Amphibian Trailer Boat Series

Following the huge success of its new Trailer Boat line of Amphibian LED marine lighting, OceanLED is pleased to announce the imminent launch of the Amphibian T12 model.

The T12 is the largest model of the Amphibian Trailer Boat series using just 12 watts of power, twice the power of the T6 and four times the power of the T3, the T12 is suitable for any trailered boat up to 35ft or 10 meters in length.

“We are very excited to launch this latest addition to the Trailer Boat series. Our customers have been asking for a larger, brighter light in this entry-level product range. With our improved manufacturing capabilities, our economies of scale, and a strong nationwide dealer network, it’s a pleasure to give boaters what they’re asking for,” said Terry Crockett, OceanLED sales manager in an interview earlier this month.”

The T12 is manufactured with the same sophistication of OceanLEDs entire family of underwater and above water LED lighting products such as built-in Active Thermal Control – a continuous heat monitoring system, Grade A electrical-opto performance – to achieve the highest lumen-per-watt ratings, and our 3-star LED binning promise – ensuring the highest quality grade LEDs are used in every light.

The Trailer Boat range of Amphibians is the ideal choice for the trailered boat that does not sit in the water for extended periods of time, opposed to the Amphibian Classic and Amphibian Pro series that are designed for long term in water use and feature a patented Tritonium lens – a non-stick glass lens that prevents sea growth.

At a price point that now rivals any competitor offering, this entry-level product from OceanLED is going to ignite the market.

The Amphibian T12 is due to be available for sale from August 1st at a retail price of $399.00.

The New Hybrid Series from OceanLED Gets OEM Thumbs Up!

The Hybrid 30i and 60i feature the very latest technology the company has to offer, these new all-in-one products are as bright as any Halogen, Xenon or LED product on the market today.

The name Hybrid was born from its three new and unique features – its all-in-one technology, i.e. no separate parts or drivers, it’s unique combination of injection molded polymer and high quality bronze casting, and its ability to be mounted as either a surface mount or traditional 1” bolted thru hull light.

“The Hybrids are surpassing everyone’s expectations,” said Terry Crockett, OceanLED USA LLC sales manager, “they were launched with the intention of pushing the boundaries of the market and our technology into the next decade; our customers completely understand the leap in technology and resulting brightness and aren’t afraid to make the commitment. We couldn’t be more proud.”

Hybrids are available in Ultra White, Midnight Blue and Sea Green LED colors with 2 beam angle options – a 60-degree beam, commonly used on the transom, or flood beam option to create a halo effect around the hull. Hybrid 30i retails for $1099.00 and the Hybrid 60i for $1599.00.

Sandman Secures World Sailfish Championship Title...

Key West – In the middle of a final day frenzy one boat found itself the center of attention. Team Sandman finished Saturdayreleasing 6 of their 7 bites, easily jumping from second place to win the World Sailfish Championship in Key West. Captain Neil Orange and his crew caught 17 sailfish for the tournament, outdistancing Team Lights Out by three fish. Team Sea Hunter/Conched Out made a late move to finish third with 12 releases.

But the day belonged to Sandman, the 63-foot Spencer owned by Sandra MacMillan. Team Sandman on the left flying 17 release flags.

“It means a lot to us,” MacMillan said. “We’ve had a really good year. But to win the World Sailfish Championship with kite baits is amazing. It’s sinking in, but it hasn’t sunk in yet.”

For Team Sandman, the trip to Key West proved to be the continuation of what has been a great year. The team finished second in the season-opening Sailfish Cup and third in the Big Boat division of the Sailfish Kickoff before winning the Buccaneer Cup Sailfish Release Tournament in Palm Beach in January. In this case, the difference was fishing on Friday’s off day. Orange said the team fished until about 5:30 or 6 p.m. and, more than anything, was able to rule that area out as a possible spot on Saturday. It turned out that may have been the most important decision of the entire week.

“This is the biggest tournament of them all,” Orange said. “What a great one to win. This is our fifth year fishing this tournament and we finally got it.”

Winner "Sandman" and several tournament participants who use OceanLED underwater lights and strobe drivers placed in this years World Sailfish Championship including "Conched Out", "Get Lit", "Barefoot", "Advanced Roofing", "Qualifier", and "Asian Pearl". Congratulations Sandman and to the entire fleet.
